After being weighed in, Emend was taken and IV of hydration was all set up. Aloxi, Decadron and Benedryl started at 9:30. Taxotere started at 10:15; slowly to avoid reactions this time. Got it done with NO negative reactions this time! Went to about 11:45. Some more hydration until Carboplatin began at 11:55. A little more hydration then Herceptin began at 12:15, and ended around 1:30 with a nice Neulasta shot (yuck). Needle in to needle out, only there for 4 hours. That's a record! Then I sat down in a conference room with a rep from UCLA and completed most of my first interview. We will continue it tomorrow over the phone. They pay me for my time, and every dollar counts right now. I also got a physical exam by the PA. She said my tumor definitely feels smaller and softer, and there is only one small hard part left. That's progress! Tomorrow is my first day of kids at home full time. Wish me luck, because I'm totally going to need it!
3 treatments down, 3 to go! Hooray! I feel like I'm over the hump and it's all going to be downhill from here. Now to survive the yucky "sick" part this week so I can move into the weekend. Hubby turns 30 this week so I need to feel better by Saturday in order to celebrate with him. Wed-Sat will be the worst, so I need to rest up.
My friend Tara is giving me 50% of her proceeds on her Etsy site. She has some cute stuff on there if you feel like doing a little browsing:

My other friend Deanna is giving her commission to me at her site also. She sells cool personalized stuff like bags, etc.:

These fundraisers are for a limited time so I wanted to mention it here rather than the fundraisers tab :-)
Speaking of fundraisers, many of you have said you've placed orders with DWBH shirts, and I appreciate that immensely! Please send pics of you/your family in your swag so we can submit them to the site and show you off ;-)
So many people have mailed me checks, and they have totally saved me. Some friends covered my house cleaning this month too, and it was so nice to come home to a beautifully cleaned house today. It was hard to say goodbye to the daycare, but it's all for the best right now. And my paycheck came in as normal, and the lady at the district confirmed it was due to 20+ sick days being donated. This is phenomenal. I am feeling less and less stressed about finances, and more and more excited about the love and support that is flowing my way. I really am a lucky and loved girl! xoxo
