At the doctor on November 6th, he determined I don't have a hernia but a diastasis recti which means I have a large separation of my left and right abdominal muscles. This is good news as it can be corrected without surgery and with special exercises. Then, on my way home from a football game on November 7th, I was in a car accident with an unlicensed teen driver. My car was totaled, my chest hurts, my back hurts, my knee is bruised and swollen, my foot is sore, I have bruising on my hip, but I got out alive. This will certainly not help my already sore back and chest. I went to the hospital on the 8th for pain medication and X-rays, which determined nothing was broken. I went to Breastlink for both a mammogram and ultrasound on November 14th to make sure my implants weren't leaking from airbag and seat belt impact (they're not). I'm so thankful for that. Then, I took Jenna to get a cyst removed from her back at the dermatologist on the 25th and ended up having a spot removed off of my leg. It's always one thing after another with me! Despite it all, I managed to host a beautiful thanksgiving today with some of our family. So thankful for my life today and every day!
Today and everyday I am thankful for my life.

Today I had a three month follow up with Dr. Link. He said I have now graduated to six month visits. I told him about my recurring chest pain and back pain, and he said he doesn't think anything is cancer related and I need to get in to see my general practitioner about all of the symptoms I mentioned. I have an appointment tomorrow with a general surgeon that everybody at this office recommends for my possible hernia. I guess that's a start! I guess it's kinda hard to believe I could have normal people problems when I am so used to everything being attributed to cancer for the past few years. I am happy to be graduating to six month visits now! He gave me my blood work and said it's perfect. I was told to take a regular vitamin everyday and come back in six months! |
