After my chemotherapy, I went in for a breast exam to check my progress. The PA said it feels smaller and softer to her. I told her I feel a new hardened piece and she said it may be scar tissue from the biopsy or a small hematoma. I told her about my nipple bleeding yesterday. She said it's not totally rare for the nipple to bleed, but since mine did she is thinking it is probably because of the possible hematoma or because the breast tissues are shrinking and are close to a milk duct. My breast is still sore, and she thinks it's because it's working and tissues are feeling the changes all around. My right nipple is really sensitive too and she said that's probably due to a nerve pinch from the right biopsy. Ugh. So sick of these boobies, can't wait for them to get removed!
I watched some clips from the Dr. Oz show, talking about the ways to prevent cancer. It was super annoying to me to hear that all of the things I should eat and things I should do that I was already doing. Just goes to show Dr. Oz that no matter how much prevention you do, at the end of the day, cancer truly does not discriminate.
2nd treatment down, only 4 to go. I am not looking forward to feeling sick this week, but happy to say I'm 1/3 of my way through the chemotherapy process!
