I also got a message from the chemotherapy nurse station telling me my potassium is low so I need to eat more bananas. Apparently they don't get blood test results until a week after my blood is drawn at my herceptin appointment, which is why they just told me. I hate bananas. My count needs to be at 3.5 and I'm at 3.2. Doesn't seem too low to me. So I'm not in a huge hurry to get it checked.
Thursday I went to see Dr. West the plastic surgeon and he said I looked really burnt and it didn't look good. I told him I actually look better now than I used to! So he said to really keep a close watch for any signs of infection or anything getting worse. He said I can start filling up my right breast again (since it's 75 cc's less than the left because of the radiation angle). So I got 25 more cc's, leaving me with 475 in the left and 425 in the right.. Thought it would be better to slowly fill it so I don't have to try and teach while I'm on percocet. ;-)
Another former student bought me a pink ribbon beanie. I will be sporting that on the slopes this season! I can't wait! Mammoth got snow this week...
