When I saw Dr. Link on 10/30 he did his usual blood test and breast exam. He didn't say anything about the ovarian cysts, so I assume that means he's not concerned about that scan. He did mention that he thinks my thyroid has a small cystic adenoma (benign tumor) or it is possibly a low grade carcinoma (cancer) but it is not life threatening. I guess that is supposed to provide me with some comfort. I was told I am going to be referred to Dr. Kapoor, a thyroid specialist, next week. I googled her, and she's defined as a "surgical oncologist with advanced training in breast cancer and diseases of the thyroid." He wants her to do either an ultrasound guided biopsy, or just surgically remove then biopsy the nodule. I am hoping for the latter because it is bothering me, so I just want it out. I'll post more when I know more!
