As soon as I walked in for treatment on Tuesday they gave me a "note from Dr. Washington" that stated the x-ray results came back "Normal" so no explanation for my soreness at this point. No spa treatment today, but they did replace my stickers finally. They were getting gross. The one on my chest above my breast was stinging a little, so they just marked it really well with a permanent marker and now I'm sticker free there (for now). The one between my breasts got replaced, which was nice other than the shoddy job of cleaning up sticky adhesive residue. After my appointment I got to see the nurse who gave me a nice lotion that is less greasy than Cetaphil. Then I saw Dr. Mason. It went really quick. Conversation sounded like something along the lines of: "Hi, any concerns?" "Nope" "Ok, films look perfect, which means we are treating where we want to." "K-thanks-bye." Have I mentioned that doctors make way too much money? Who knows what my insurance will be billed for that 10 second conversation. Ugh.
Wednesday I had to get "spa" treatment at 7:40 before work because I had herceptin in Orange after work. Chris drove me to all of my appointments, which was nice. But it was definitely a long day.
Thursday I went in early for radiation so I could see Dr. West (the plastic surgeon) at 3. At radiation I had films taken. At Breastlink Dr. West basically just looked at my skin, said it looked fine, told me to be on the lookout for any signs of infection, and said he'd see me a week after I finished treatment. Wow, wonder how much he made for that 10 second check up? Wait, I think I've already said that...
Friday I went in early so I could make it to the football game at 3:30. I got my towel treatment, and went on my merry way. I am so tired. I am just burnt out. And I can totally see the field where I get treated. My skin has a sunburn outline now. And I keep getting fierce shooting pains (under my breast and in my armpit especially). I couldn't be more over it.
I feel like I'm falling apart. I tripped the other day and barely was able to recover. I feel like I'm 100 years old right now, my back is killing me. I want my energy back!
