If you ever feel bummed out, just get out there and make it happen. That's what works for me. Anything is possible with God (and if you set your mind to it!) Now I'm off to get some much needed rest...
This is the week where I like to get things done. I finally feel well enough to be doing everything I normally would, but because I haven't felt that way in two weeks- I try to fit as much as I can into this week. Case in point- today I put in 35 sq ft of sod by myself. Yes, you read that correctly. I spent $20 at Home Depot, slathered sunblock on my bald head and arms, put on a super uncool brimmed hat, and went to town in the back yard! Now, I had to take a break every 5 seconds, and I took a reallllly long time to work. But, it's done and I can proudly say I accomplished quite a feat. I was really proud of my work, because even if I wasn't a chemo patient- this is not something I would normally feel motivated to do alone. But, with my husband gone all week, I want him to be able to relax and enjoy his family on the weekends. And so, rather than sitting at home feeling sorry for myself, I did what I do best... I just made it happen :-)

Nice! I can empathize with the sunscreen on the bald head. Not a fun place to get a burn -- believe me! I remember when I put my girls' playhouse in the back yard. It seems like yesterday.
