On 1/11/11, at the age of 29, I was told I had breast cancer. On 1/23/12, a little over a year later, I was told that I was cleared. That was only 10 months ago, yet it all feels like a distant memory. Today I am thankful for my family, friends, doctors and nurses that helped me get through the fog. I am also so very thankful for modern medicine- the chemo, surgery and radiation did its job! I'm thankful medicine continues to be improved and I believe a cure is in the not too distant future. It is truly a miracle that today I am alive and healthy. I am here and able to watch my children grow. We are not guaranteed a tomorrow, so I am taking advantage of every moment that I have. I want my children to know that life is a gift and to always be thankful.
